Same to you. It was what later I learned it was called 'Hypermobility' for my joints. I was so hard headed I pushed through dislocations over and over in wrestling. They'd dislocate, not even know it and I'd wrestle for months.
I had huge prospects and ended up captain from freshman year within a month starting the year prior to high-school.
I was a wrestler to watch in the area, early on 13 years old against 18 year olds. varsity in my first few matches as a freshman and as a captain expecting junior varsity, not to be a team leader lol.
I was addicted.
My friend won the olympics for wrestling, it was super cool.
I pushed until my couldn't anymore. Way past that honestly and that’s the biggest reason.
Easy to wish the bad didn't happen although if it didn’t: I likely wouldn't have some of my best friends, had amazing experiences, businesses that changed the course of my life and helped ignite the start of life long passions and life missions ...
Without wrestling, I wouldn't have met my wife and of course, I wouldn’t have my daughter if so.
Hidden or not evident disabilities are still disabilities. 🫂
We actually never have a fucking clue of what is going on under someone else surface, but we should also be able to remember that… and act accordingly.
